MASTER-CLASS

The information and advance notice and during the Festival will be published on the official Facebook page (which are forwarded to the Twitter account), and the oficcial blog.

On Tuesday, August 2nd, will welcome participants at the opening concert, at 10:00 pm., in the Cathedral Square (Plaza de la Catedral). Admission to this event is free for those enrolled in the Festival.

Guitar lessons will begin on Wednesday, August 3rd  at 10:00 am, and will take place in the Municipal School of Music, Spain Square, Historic City Centre (Escuela Municipal de Música, Plaza de España, Casco Histórico), and in the Real Prison (Cárcel Real).

Active students will be taught by three teachers, being able to attend to all of them like listeners.

Each ACTIVE student will receive a total of three lessons with three different teachers.

Students will be able to express their two teacher preferences on the application form. The Festival organization will assign the third teacher. The Organization will try to satisfy every student´s request when possible.

 

The International Guitar Festival “Ciudad de Coria” will feature a guitar orchestra, conducted by Maestro Carlos Molina, celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Festival.  All participants may be part of the orchestra. 

The proposed program is the following:

Concerto grosso, by Antonio Vivaldi.

Toccatta  or Paisaje cubano con lluvia, by Leo Brouwer.

Pavane pour une infante défunte, by Maurice Ravel.
