1^st  The competition will start on Tuesday 7^th August in the morning, with the qualifying stage. It will be announced the day of the draw to decide the performance order in the competition.

2^nd All the guitarists registered in the guitar course will be able to participate in the category of: A) Active students or B) listener student + competition, except the winners of previous editions.

3^th It consists of two stages: 1. The qualifying stage 2. The Final one.

QUALIFYING STAGE:

a) It will be played a piece of music chosen among the following ones:

• A movement of the Decamerón Negro, by Leo Brouwer.

• A Prelude or a Fugue by Johann Sebastian Bach.

• A Study or a Prelude by Héctor Villa-Lobos.

• Variaciones sobre un tema de Mozart (Variations on a Subject by Mozart). Op.9, by Fernando Sor

• Elogio de la Danza (Praise of the Dance), by L. Brouwer.

• Garrotín y Soleares, by Joaquín Turina.

• En los trigales (In the Wheat fields), by Joaquín Rodrigo.

• Prelude of the Cavatina, by Alexandre Tansman.

• A Bagatelle, by William Walton.

b) In addition, it will be played one or more pieces of music never longer than 10 minutes.

FINAL STAGE:

A free repertoire will be played never longer than 25 minutes.

In the final stage, the pieces already played in the qualifying stage will not be able to be repeated.

JURY:

It will be formed by music and culture. The decision will be final.

First prize:

• A Guitar of concert belonging to the Luthier José Rodríguez Peña, valued at 4207 €.

• 2800 € cash.

• Concert in the USA to the Guitarists Association in Miami.

• Concert in the 11^th Course and Competition "Ciudad de Coria".

• Diploma.

Second prize:

• 1400 €

• Diploma

Third prize:

• 700 €

• Diploma

Fourth prize:

• 150 €

• Diploma.

Prize to the best classified local resident in Extremadura:

• 150 €

• Diploma

To compete for this prize, the contestant must present, before his performance, a residence certificate in any villages of the autonomous region of Extremadura.

Prize from the Audience:

• 530 € (this prize can be accumulated to any others)

Those present to the final stage will be given a ballot paper with the finalists’ names.

Those present to all the final performances will indicate in these ballot papers the guitarist’s name that, in their opinion, deserves the first prize and will place it in the ballot box. When all the performances have finished, a recount will be done, on the stage and in presence of the audience, to award this prize from the audience.

When entering this competition, the contestants agree with the conditions and the jury’s decision, resigning to all claim.

The cash prizes are subject to the retentions that the law marks.
